Grxwn Fxlks will be premiering their documentary film Independent: a Hiphopumentary on Friday, July 29th at Row House Cinema in their hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Immediately following the premiere the group will take questions from the audience before heading to the afterparty.
The film follows emcee/producer super-duo Masai Turner and Akil Esoon as they travel from New York to Los Angeles to Atlanta, to Pittsburgh producing, recording, mixing, and mastering their debut album Volume I: Independent (due June 17th via Authentic Recordings).
Special guest appearances include Neal Pogue, Raheem DeVaughn, Mike Bozzi, Bernie Grundman, Mysonne, Nikki Jean, and many more.
Produced, Directed, and Edited by Masai Turner, the film also includes cinematography by Emmai Alaquiva and a score/soundtrack by Akil Esoon.
